The lender we went with (TAKE HER ADVICE ON LENDERS!!) called me the day before closing to say we couldn't do close because of two *minor* issues. Both of these had been addressed during the final walkthrough and they gave us an exact time when it would be done). Normally, I could have made my own argument but my grandpa had died 18 hours prior and I couldn't. She listened to me bawl on the phone and said she would fix it. 45 minutes later, I got a text from her saying, "It's fixed. See you tomorrow!" My husband made her a cheesecake and I bought her flowers. I cannot sing her praises enough. If we ever list this home and she's still in the business, it'll be with her.
